University of Florida Acai Berry Study on Cancer

There are so many newspaper, magazine and Internet articles that state that the acai berry has been proven to be effective in fighting cancer by the University of Florida. Is there any truth to the University of Florida Acai Berry Study on Cancer or is this once again, a false claim by the manufacturers of acai berry products in order to boost their sales?

Yes, it is true. The University of Florida conducted an actual laboratory study on several kinds of acai berry extracts to find out its effects on cultured human cancer cells. According to the University of Florida Acai Berry study on cancer, the acai berry extracts triggered a self-destruct response on thirty to eighty percent of the leukemia cancer cells.

The University of Florida study however is merely a test tube study. They have not made any actual studies on the effectivity of the acai berry on live humans. However, if it worked in the test tube study, there seems to be no reason for it not to work on human beings as well.

With this in mind, it does not hurt to meet your daily acai berry requirements to fight off not only cancer, but other diseases as well.
